The Life of Shane

Chapter 1....

I am a Mackay boy born and bred and married with 2 awesome kids, and therefore have strong ties and a passion for the town and its community, especially the youth (explains why I work for MYSS). I am a totally laid back person (this is probably due to my days of surfing and carefree life-ahhh miss those days). I love all sports and just having a good time with my mates. I try to get to as many Cowboys games as possible, so go you COWBOYS in 2010 (other supporters don't hold that against me). My passion and desire to work with youth stems back to when I was coaching under 8's hockey at the age of 14 (and still coaching), being able to teach, help and support them achieve an understanding of the game and this has driven me ever since through my coaching of sports teams, to running camps, and to the jobs I have been in. To watch a young person grow and pick their path and right choices, and to know I may have helped or supported the young person on their life journey is a satisfying experience on its own. So if you want to come and say hi and have a chat don't be shy I will not bite, just contact me on the number given or your guidance officer. Cheers
