YOUTH SUPPORT COORDINATOR PROGRAM
The Youth Support Coordinator (YSC) Program supports young people at risk of leaving school before they complete all the way through to year 12. YSCs aim to support young people experiencing a whole range of issues to remain engaged in education.
The YSCs work across the majority of secondary schools, both public and private, in Mackay, Sarina, Mirani, Calen, Moranbah, Proserpine, Bowen and Collinsville. They usually spend a day a week in each school and access young people for appointments at their school.
This is a confidential and voluntary service. All people referred to this service must agree to receive support from this program for the referral to be accepted.
